Volunteer: Advantage Care Health Center Intern

The internship at Advantage Care Health Center is designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of integrated healthcare in a supportive, inclusive environment. This is primarily a shadowing opportunity, where interns observe a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and administrative staff, as they deliver patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Shadow healthcare professionals during patient consultations, staff meetings, and clinical procedures.
Gain exposure to the daily operations of a federally qualified health center (FQHC).
Observe how care is coordinated for individuals with developmental disabilities and other complex needs.
Learn about HIPAA regulations and professional conduct in a clinical setting.
ttend educational sessions and debriefs to enhance understanding of observed practices.
