As a Community Engagement Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to empower and advocate for individuals with disabilities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community outreach, event planning, and communication strategies while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve
Key Responsibilities:
- Outreach and Networking: Engage with community stakeholders, including local businesses, schools, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups, to promote awareness of our organization's services and initiatives.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning, organizing, and executing community events, workshops, and fundraisers aimed at raising awareness, fostering inclusivity, and promoting accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
- Digital Engagement: Support the management of our organization's social media platforms and online presence to amplify our message, share success stories, and encourage community participation and support.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with the communications team to develop engaging content such as blog posts, newsletters, and multimedia materials that highlight the achievements and experiences of individuals with disabilities.
- Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to assist with various programs, events, and activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all participants.
