Overview: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate intern to join our Human Resources Learning and Professional Development Team. This unique opportunity involves not only contributing to our HR training initiatives but also providing support to a peer with a disability within the department. This role offers valuable experience in HR practices, diversity and inclusion, and peer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Peer Support: Provide dedicated assistance and support to a peer with a disability within the Human Resources Learning and Professional Development Team. This may involve aiding in daily tasks, facilitating communication, and ensuring an inclusive work environment.
- Accessibility Initiatives: Collaborate with the HR team to implement accessibility initiatives aimed at creating an inclusive workplace for employees of all abilities. This may involve reviewing existing processes, recommending improvements, and raising awareness about accessibility issues. Looking at materials, other departments (WFA) if needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and feedback. Assist in preparing reports and presentations to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and accessibility initiatives
- Research and Development: Stay updated on best practices in HR training, diversity, and inclusion. Research relevant topics to support the continuous improvement of training programs and accessibility measures. (
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Training Department, such as scheduling meetings, managing emails, and organizing files.
